Free. Everything, while we’re in early access.
No card, no unit limit, no trial clock. We would rather have buildings running on Rentio than revenue this year.
What’s included
- Unlimited buildings, units, leases and tenants
- Full rent register with a running balance per tenant
- Electricity, water and gas sub-metering, with per-unit rates
- Shared building costs, split across units
- Security deposit and advance tracking, with a full log
- Rent receipts and annual HRA statements (PDF)
- Year-end close, per unit or per building
- PDF and CSV exports, stored and re-downloadable
- Maintenance requests
- Teams — add family or staff and assign them buildings
- A tenant portal, for tenants who want one
What we’ll charge for later
Rentio is free because we intend to earn from optional services, not from the software. In time that is likely to mean things like paying rent by credit card, rental agreements, and tenant verification — each one something you choose, one at a time.
- The software you are using today stays free for early users.
- Nothing is ever charged without you choosing it.
- Your rent will always go straight from your tenant to you. We do not take a cut of it, and we do not hold it.
About the price
Why is it free? What’s the catch?
We’re early, and we would rather spend this year getting real buildings running than building a billing system. Paid services come later and will be optional. There is no trial that expires.
Will you start charging for what I use now?
No. What you’re using today stays free for early users.
Is there a limit on units?
No.
Do you take a percentage of my rent?
No, and we can’t — your tenant pays your UPI ID directly. The money never passes through us.
Can I get my data out?
Any time. Every unit’s and building’s ledger exports to PDF and CSV, per financial year.
